Buy in Lordshill & Lordswood

Lordshill and Lordwood are both popular areas, attracting mainly families.


Both areas are mostly residential housing with over 4000 mixed Council and Private housing for around 12,500 people.


The local community areas have a mix of different shops. In addition there is he main shopping area called Lordshill District Centre, which contains:

As with any major City, there is always a very wide choice of bars and clubs and Southampton is no exception. The city centre is only 1.2 miles away (4 minute drive) away and offers a huge variety of nightlife from cinemas to restaurants and clubs.

Local schools

Local education includes 2 Primary and Junior schools, Sinclaire School which is a mixed Primary and junior school and the other being Fairisle Infant School and Fairisle junior School. In addition to this, there is a secondary school called Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill.


There are a number of frequent First Bus Southampton bus services for Lordshill. Other bus services like Blue Star and Stagecoach Group run some day time buses. These link Lordshill and Lordswood to the City Centre, surrounding areas and places like Romsey and Winchester.

To catch a train, the nearest major railway station is Southampton Central. Consequently, this can be accessed by both car and bus on the way into the City Centre. The nearest small railway station is Redbridge.
